Help your teen study smarter & revise effectively with the STUDY SMART academic coaching programme

Many students I work with say that they don’t know how to study or revise effectively because they have never been taught how to! Teachers set homework and provide revision booklets but that is often the extent of their support. Students need more!

If your teen has additional needs, such as ADHD, they likely need additional study support and understanding far over and above what schools provide. That is why I created the STUDY SMART academic group coaching programme – to fill the gaps in school provision and give our young people the personalised support they require.

Students tell me about their frustration and disappointment when working harder doesn’t seem to make a difference to their grades. They tell me that the time they spend feels pointless; so it becomes harder to motivate themselves to get started or to stay focussed.

There are many potential reasons for their struggles. It could be simply because they’re spending their time on the wrong things. Additionally, many students lack the study habits and systems they need, so the workload becomes overwhelming. Or it could be that there is a gap between their knowledge and action because of missing executive function skills (a particular issue for neurodivergent students).

Students need support to figure out why they are struggling, and then to develop a personalised action plan that will work with their strengths to create a pathway to success. This is why an individual 1:1 coaching session is included in the programme.

If these issues resonate with your child’s experience, then the STUDY SMART academic coaching programme is for them.

Who benefits from STUDY SMART?

STUDY SMART is for all secondary school, high school and sixth form students who need help with studying and revising for exams. It is especially useful for teens with ADHD who need help with approaches that work for their unique brain wiring.

The STUDY SMART programme empowers students with the knowledge and skills to study productively, learn with mastery, and prepare effectively for their exams at 16 (such as GCSEs or IGCSEs) or 18 (like A levels, the IB DP or school diplomas).

Crucially, this academic group coaching programme isn’t just about teaching generic knowledge and skills like many online courses, or a succession of TikToks or Instagram reels. It also supports students at the individual level to understand their own barriers and create a personalised action plan. This supports students to implement what they have learnt in a way that best meets their needs. Another key feature is the accountability provided to encourage students to do the hard work required to overcome their barriers – and to then to celebrate their success, step-by-step.

STUDY SMART launches this October.

If you’re worried your teen will struggle to reach their potential in their upcoming exams, STUDY SMART is the support your teen needs.
